These cabinets were put in a hallway of a ranch home to serve as a laundry area. The cabinet assembly was complex, and installation was similar to any kitchen remodel. Of course, the design is IKEA and gives a very modern-in-fashion look. Still, after all the costs of labor and materials, including cabinet expenses, it is a fraction the price of standard cabinet installation.

This large and heavy mirror was quickly hung using plastic anchors and, of course, the corresponding sized screw for the anchor. Though the wall it is hung on is made of brick, the anchors will work well to support the weight for as long as the owner wishes. As I understand, this Feng Shui door is intended to open doors where there currently is no door. Sounds like a change that may just have the desired effect.


These gutter filters are quick and easy to install and will work well at preventing clogged gutters without stopping the flow of water.

Quick fix….not replacement necessary…under $ 25 repair

We made these raised beds out of 2 x 10 cedar with 4th inch posts at the corners for strength.
This is a newly installed water heater gas line in a Harkness Heights home. The owner had lots of gas lines criss-crossing in his basement. The gas was supplying his water heater, furnace and dryer. I minimized the amount of gas pipe into just two stretches of pipe, and raised the pipe up into the upper level floor joists. As you can see, some of the old pipe was corroded and dead ended.
