Jimmy is a fantastic handyman. Incredibly thorough, detail-oriented and careful, not to mention friendly and nice to be around.

Everyone I’ve ever referred him to has been very happy with his work, and his prices. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Jimmy for just about any type of work around your house or yard.

Assemble Furniture – IKEA Bunk Beds

IKEA furniture assembly and installation

by jimmy on December 4, 2011

These cabinets were put in a hallway of a ranch home to serve as a laundry area. The cabinet assembly was complex, and installation was similar to any kitchen remodel. Of course, the design is IKEA and gives a very modern-in-fashion look. Still, after all the costs of labor and materials, including cabinet expenses, it is a fraction the price of standard cabinet installation.

Feng Shui mirror

This large and heavy mirror was quickly hung using plastic anchors and, of course, the corresponding sized screw for the anchor. Though the wall it is hung on is made of brick, the anchors will work well to support the weight for as long as the owner wishes. As I understand, this Feng Shui door is intended to open doors where there currently is no door. Sounds like a change that may just have the desired effect.

These gutter filters are quick and easy to install and will work well at preventing clogged gutters without stopping the flow of water.

Handyman Job - Replace gas piping

This is a newly installed water heater gas line in a Harkness Heights home. The owner had lots of gas lines criss-crossing in his basement. The gas was supplying his water heater, furnace and dryer. I minimized the amount of gas pipe into just two stretches of pipe, and raised the pipe up into the upper level floor joists.  As you can see, some of the old pipe was corroded and dead ended.

Handyman Job – Install new Garage Door Opener

April 3, 2011

This old garage door  used to be opened by pulling and lifting.. It is a very small garage, but still was big enough to fit a the owner’s car.  After installing the door opener, it occurred to me that there are so many single car garages in this and surrounding neighborhoods that go unused, mainly, [...]

Handyman Job – Install new shower doors

April 3, 2011

These shower doors were installed into a brand new home in North Thornton. The neighborhood is called Thornton, but if you ask me, I would call it Brighton.  It is not a retirement community as such, but it is overwhelmingly occupied by retirement age residents. So, I do travel out of the Northwest Denver area [...]
